Should you or shouldn’t you double up on denim?
I personally feel without any guilt that twice as much as denim is twice as good. Its comeback from the ‘80s has been so massive that it’s clearly here to stay for a huge amount of time. Denim on denim is a mainstay in any fashion enthusiast’s wardrobe and is no doubt a fashion go-to that can never disappoint. Also, considering the amount of denim that finds its way in all of our wardrobes, it won’t be too hard to dive into this look every now and then.
In other news, a huge hello to everyone who decided to stop by and read this. Keeping all of my feminine kinda styling aside for a change, I tried to go slightly grunge this time and I am in fact quite satisfied with what I ended up doing.
Opting for too much of the same shade will drown you out so make sure you contrast your top and bottom. I’ve tried to marry two different shades of the fabric here with a burst of oxblood and some chunk of silver. Went slightly high on accessories but I’m quite happy with how this one turned out.
Besides, being a massive fan of the fabric I couldn’t find a better day to write about this look than the day I turn slightly older and wiser [I hope]. This undying trend gives you a power to keep all your inhibitions aside and just embrace denim with all that you’ve got.
So here it goes. A fairly over-sized denim jacket with light washed denim shorts and an oxblood tank top with black block heels.
So for every denim devotee out there, keep all your inhibitions aside when you plan to double up on your denim because you possibly cannot go too wrong with this one. However, do confine it only to your clothing and not to your shoes, bags or hats. You don’t want to be too matchy after all.
Do comment below and let me know if you would ever go ahead and try this one. All your suggestions on what I should be doing next are most welcome.
I would love to hear from y’all.
Till then, I’ll just sit in one corner and let the pangs of old-age hit me. [JK]
